It's been over 5 years now since I last spoke to my Gran and I miss her. Especially today on the day we share our birthdays. She always told me I was the best birthday present she was ever given.
I worry about my Mum as I don't think she's every really been the same since she lost her mummy and I know she worries about Papa now more than ever.
All families lose people they love, and I tell myself that my Gran lost her Gran and her Mum and got on with life but I am sure like us all today, and on other days, she must have had reflective moments herself.
I have been thinking today about good times like when she thought Campbell looked too skinny (yes) and gave him a poly bag full of tins away, how she subbed me money on the fly as a teenager and the latter days of the walkie talkies.....until they ended up in the bin :) How she referred to Grant as Brian, called the furniture store IEEKA, about the time when she asked how the Mongolian baby was getting on, when she told me 'F isn't for sugar'.
So many fond memories of my Gran I will have forever <3
