Today we held our cake bake & raffle at work and it was brilliant!! So many people brought in some lovely home baking & donated raffle prizes. The cakes went down a treat!!! We had scones, pancakes, rocky road, victoria sponge, banana loaf, cupcakes & truffles to name but a few. The homemade tablet was a particular favourite and was gone within about 10 minutes! We held the raffle in the afternoon - it was easy to sell the tickets as soon as the words 'bottles of alcohol' were mentioned! Lucky Neil Johnson was the biggest winner scooping 4 raffle prizes! He did kindly share the chocolates around :) Grant & I took the left over cakes to Bannockburn Hospital to the ward staff that looked after Gran when she was ill. They remembered her and were so grateful we had taken up some treats for their staff room. Today really was a fab day & I can't thank people enough who took the time to bake, bring prizes and buy goodies today - we raised £280!! Woo hoo!!
